Concert Band Clinics

Emily Gurwitz is available for middle school and high school Region Band Clinics and Concerts as well as UIL judging in and around the San Antonio area. Mrs. Gurwitz has over 25 years of experience teaching both middle school and high school band students. During her teaching career, Mrs. Gurwitz’s bands received consistent sweepstakes awards as well as Best in Class and Outstanding Musicianship awards at several Texas band competitions. In 2013 and 2017, the Bradley Honor Band under her direction placed 1st in the Region 12 State Honor Band competition. In 2019, the Bradley Honor band under her direction placed 3rd in Area E. This placement made the Bradley Honor Band the highest-ranking Middle School Band program in the San Antonio Area for the 2019-20 school year. Mrs. Gurwitz has been a region band clinician for the Region 11 Middle School Symphonic band as well as the South Texas Honor Band held in Boerne, Texas. She is frequently asked to do clinics for high school and middle school bands.
